SURFACE DESIGN STUDENTS

'the art and business of surface design' is an online e-course run by rachael taylor at 'do what you love'. the course attracted a global audience with 5 continents represented & students from 28 countries. module 1 has now been completed and today we are lucky enough to be able see some of the students work. the results look great - especially when you consider they have only done part of the course and a good few of them are total beginners. so here we can admire the work of rachael's students starting with the first three designs by Maike Thoma called patternjots, and maika can be contacted at design@patternjots.com. the second module starts on january 30 for those interested in having a go themselves.

We are so thrilled with the designs from module 1. We are very lucky to have worked with such a wonderful group of talented, dedicated & hard working students.

It's so great to see them on here! What fantastic encouragement for them :)

thankyou so much for including my designs in here! I have been following Print and Pattern for a long time and it is amazing to see my work here! This course has been an inspiration in my artwork and has opened up a whole new world of colour and creativity working with my computer! Rachael and Beth are amazing teachers and its been wonderful to work alongside and meet such talented students from all over the world! Shae xo
